Special Programs

When you become a volunteer tutor with adult students, you help people change their lives. Volunteer tutors provide valuable one-on-one assistance for students enrolled in adult literacy programs. Volunteers also work with small groups to help students gain competence in reading, math, English and life coping skills. The Career, Technical and Adult/Community Education Department’s Volunteer Program is an affiliate of ProLiteracy America. Volunteer orientation and tutor training classes are held periodically throughout the year in various locations.
