What is a Technical Center?

Technical education refers to short-term training designed to prepare you for immediate employment in a specific career field. Training is hands-on and utilizes the most up to date, industry approved equipment. Instructors are experts in their fields and ensure that your training focuses on real-world applications.

Industry leaders provide input on curriculum through advisory committees to ensure that
your training is state of the art and relevant.

Broward County Public Schools offer adults courses in over 40 high skill, high wage, in demand career training programs. Day and evening classes are offered on three campuses: Atlantic Tech in Coconut Creek, McFatter Tech in Davie, and Sheridan Tech Center in Hollywood. Online classes are available through eLearningBroward.com.

On campus Career Advisors assist students in career choice, the registration process, programs of study and financial aid for eligible students. Placement specialist assist students with securing high wage jobs upon completion of their programs.

As part of the tax supported Broward County Public School System, the cost of your education is significantly less than attending a traditional university or a private career school. Hands on training and our smaller class sizes ensure that you will graduate ready to begin your new career in the local job market.
